Copyright Text: David Capen has directed the work on the Vermont Conserved Lands Database (CLD) since its inception. Spatial Analysis Laboratory (SAL) personnel coordinating work on the database include Chris Boget (1996-1998), Janet Hurley (1998-2000), Kathy Ciarimboli (2000-2002), and Sean MacFaden (2002-2009). Other SAL personnel involved in aspects of the project include Julie Roller (1996-1997), Sean MacFaden (1997, 2000-2002), Alex Weinhagen (1998), Charles Ferree (1996-1999), Michele Maresca (1998-1999), Michael Giamusso (1998), Peter Hurley (1999), Chris Incardona (1999), and Michelle Johnson (2004). Roller assisted in various aspects during the pilot phase of the project. MacFaden and Weinhagen were involved in digitizing Vermont Agency of Natural Resources survey maps of state Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs) for incorporation into the database. Ferree developed digital boundary information for the Green Mountain National Forest and lands formerly owned by Champion International Paper Corporation. Maresca solicited boundary information from all conservation organizations in the state that were not among the primary project cooperators, assisted in incorporating this information, and in distributing plots for the April 1999 review by towns, regional planning commissions and primary cooperators. Giamusso and P. Hurley assisted in digitizing maps depicting Vermont Land Trust conservation easements. Incardona was involved in digitizing miscellaneous maps of state, municipal, and private land holdings for incorporation into the database. Johnson incorporated a series of additions and edits for state-owned WMAs and incorporated new or revised parcels conserved by the Vermont Land Trust or The Nature Conservancy. MacFaden added and revised municipal holdings for the August 2009 release.
