Service Description: Traditional DEM Hillshade derived from quality level 1 (QL1) lidar collected in Spring of 2023. This statewide dataset depicts Vermont's terrain from a sun angle orientation of 315° azimuth and 45° altitude. It supports multiple use cases such as flood risk management, hydraulic modeling, infrastructure planning, asset management, hazard mitigation, emergency response, landslide prediction, flood plain mapping, conservation planning, water quality modeling, habitat restoration, etc. For more information on the VLP please see the vcgi.vermont.gov/data-and-programs/lidar-program web page.
